Benefit El Salvador is a humanitarian effort that brings urgently needed medical equipment and resources to public health clinics in rural El Salvador.

Currently, BES volunteers are working to raise $20,000 in order to purchase medical supplies for the clinics in Taquillo, Chiltiupan, La Libertad, and Zaragoza.  These clinics serve a combined population of about 60,000 people and see between 250 – 300 patients daily.  This summer a team of BES volunteers will travel to El Salvador to hand deliver the medical supplies and spend time working at the four clinics and in their communities.

Will you join our community and support our goals by making a financial contribution?  No amount is too small.  Your gift will put urgently needed medical equipment into the hands of doctors and nurses so that they can provide the health care their patients deserve.  Please consider this opportunity to deliver change to thousands of people. To give you an idea of how your donation to BES will make a difference, consider the following:

$5.00 will purchase 150  sterile 4″x4″ gauze sponges to clean wounds and dressings.

$10.00 will purchase 500 Povidone-Iodine swabs to help clean and dress wounds and stitches.

$25.00 will purchase 12,000 alcohol prep pads to clean and disinfect wounds and vaccination and injection sites.

$50.00 will purchase 15 blood pressure cuffs for use in the clinics and out in the community during home visits.

$250.00 will purchase 200 suture kits to treat and close lacerations.
