We are excited to see that you are interested in knowing more about us. We hope that as you browse through this website, you can get a feel for what we are doing. We also hope that you can experience the same emotions that we feel in our anxious efforts to help the people of El Salvador.

Benefit El Salvador is a non-Profit organization which is raising funds and medical supplies to benefit the smaller communities in El Salvador. Due to the lack of funding, clinics in the smaller cities all around El Salvador are restricted in the amount of medical help they can provide the area residents. The Zaragosa project has been initiated with the the purpose of donating to the supply of medical equipment and resources at the public health care clinic that serves the city of Zaragoza and its surrounding community. This clinic serves a population of approximately 35,000 people in the area, thus creating a lot of need and potential to do good. Since there is only one clinic in the area, it is often times crowded and understaffed compared to the amount of work to do. Also, due to the lack of funding, supplies to these people are limited. The actuality is that this clinic has one set of crutches and no wheelchair. This is just one example of many clinics around the country.

In June of 2009, a trip was organized to deliver acquired medical supplies. The clinic was stocked with desperately needed supplies. Thanks to or many contributors from last year, we were able to bring to pass this great feet.

We are pleased to announce that we are supported in our efforts by two great organizations. These are The Mountain Fund and Firstgiving. They have joined us in our efforts and also have given us credibility to our cause.

Our goal is to share the opportunities that we have with the rest of the world. We live in an area where we can obtain proper medical care from a variety of hospitals and clinics that surround us. Please help us provide a similar type of environment to those in need in El Salvador.
